The Fundamentals of Project Management for Artists
The Fundamentals of Project Management for Artists is an 8-session workshop that will expand on the essential components of project management: methodologies, revenue development, timelines and budgets, marketing and social media, community outreach and engagement, and data collection. Each workshop will focus on a different fundamental component of project management. This workshop will provide participants with a foundation for effective tools and methods for successful projects, event planning, and execution.
Community Building
Community Building is an 8-session workshop that will investigate the key roles that art plays in our urban landscape. In this workshop, you will learn the importance of crime prevention through environmental design, supporting your community with your artistic work, portfolio building, revenue and partnership development, and community engagement. This workshop will provide participants with the confidence to create projects that will facilitate community building.
Community Building Through Stencil Making
In this one-day course, participants will learn to cut and prepare their own stencils. Participants will have the chance to learn about different materials and tools used in the creation of simple shapes. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn spraying and painting techniques, as well as experiment with various surfaces for print-making.
Community Building Through Mosaic Art
In this one-day course, you will learn to cut and prepare your own mosaic pieces. You will have the chance to learn about different materials and tools used in the creation of mosaic designs. You will also have the opportunity to learn the grouting process. This workshop will focus on mosaic art as a tool for social connection and community building.
